that her father can be so unfair sometimes

Okay. So for band I have to do an concert evaluation before the marking period ends. It has to be of a band that is high school level or higher. At first I wanted to go to my friends' high school band concert. Apparently my mom got the dates mixed up, and I missed it. So we were like, "okay, we'll just go to the community band concert Friday night." I told her today (it'll be yesterday by the time this posts) that it was in Wilmington, which is about a twenty minute drive with no traffic. My dad overheard this and lectured me about how I had three months to do this and I shouldn't be putting everything off until the last minute and that Mom would not be taking me all the way into Wilmington when it was my fault and I should've done it sooner, and so if I can't find another concert before the marking period ends, I'll just have to explain to my band teacher that I have to take a zero for the assignment because I'm so irresponsible. Okay, first of all, I found out about it three weeks ago, so how did I have three months to do it? And second of all, I had a Plan A and a Plan B. I admit, I should've been on top of making sure Mom had the right date, but I trusted her! I'm not blaming her, I'm just defending myself. And it wasn't my fault the community band concert that five other people I know have no problem going to was "so far away." I didn't pick the place! And I have one hour of recreational online time every weekday, and two hours on weekends. My dad threatened to take internet away for two weeks if I went over looking for another concert to go to. That's not recreational, Father. That's homework.
