I'm really hoping that the whole subject line comes up on this.
Hello, everyone. I have discovered the joy of email updates. So now I can update my blog from places where I can access my email, but not my blog . . . not that there is such a place. I guess I can send from friend's email addresses, too . . . I'll have to see if Stephen will let me send a quick email update from his iPod Touch one morning on the way to school. Stephen, by the way, is my carpool buddy, and one of my best guy friends. He's been acting strangely lately. More irritable than usual. Ah, well. Such is life. I'm his ride to school tomorrow morning, so he can't quite go out of his way to piss me off if he wants to be on time :-)
I'm actually writing this at eight o'clock on Thursday night, but the parental controls just kicked in and lucky me has no internet until six AM Friday morning. So it will not be posted until I regain internet at six. -sigh-
I had four tests today, which means, since we have lovely block scheduling, I had a test in every class. I am in advanced classes, but I'm not doing too well at the moment. I may even have to drop, which will earn me the Badge of Shame. Oh, right. I have to explain that. Right now, unless you actually know me in real life, you are probably looking at your screen and saying "what the heck?" or some other choice words.
There are only twenty-six kids in the advanced program at my school, and we're a pretty close-knit group. I'm not saying we all like each other, but we're like a family. Our math teacher does this thing if you forget your homework or something like that. She'll go "dun, dun, dahhhh. Badge of Shame." Then Brandon made a real Badge of Shame. It gets passed along if someone says "shut up" or another punishable offense.
Anyways, so I was really stressing out about three of these four tests. (The fourth one was in Health, and it's always multiple choice and open note, so it's extremely easy.) First was English. It was a sixty-five point "quiz" on the first thirty chapters of Great Expectations, which I hate and haven't read. I love Sparknotes and Cliffnotes. Anyways, that was mainly multiple choice, and it had ten questions that were each one point extra credit, so -crossing fingers-.
The second one was Health, and I will be shocked if I didn't get my normal 60/60.
The third one was Telecom (Communications Technology, or Telecommunications). All multiple choice (scantron), but it was fifty questions and I had to guess on a couple. I feel pretty confident about it, but I did last time, too, and ended up getting a 78%...
And the last one was World Civ. It was two essays. I really, really suck at the essays. Granted, the last essay I wrote for her, I passed, but... The essays have to be three paragraphs, and I had to bluff and fluff my way through. I mean, really. Can you write three paragraphs on the question "How successful was the Weimar Republic in solving the problems of Germany by 1928?" when the first paragraph is supposed to be saying "successful," the second saying "unsuccessful," and the third giving your overall opinion, without using the word "I? "Okay, class, now remember, no I's in History!" Uh, uh, uh, uh, um, HUH? And a whole paragraph giving your answer? "(Monotone) It was fairly successful. It could've done better, but it could've done worse. The end." ...............................................yeah...............
So I should have my results on Monday! Wish me luck!
